HIGH POINT, N.C. — Pamlico Sound by Soundstage’s Laguna all-weather collection with concert-quality sound engineered directly into the seating earned an ICFA Design Excellence Award for the Lounge Seating Cushion category.

With the rapid growth of casual outdoor and the success of Soundstage Immersive Sound Seating, it felt like a natural step to introduce this amenity to the marketplace.”
The woven Laguna seating group conceals six high-definition speakers and two dual-tuned subwoofers inside the frame, connecting wirelessly to any Bluetooth-enabled smart TV, tablet, PC or phone. The company’s Super-Link technology pairs multiple pieces together at the press of a button, so a full seating group performs as one system.
Built on welded aluminum frames with hand-woven all-weather polymer wicker, the Laguna pairs teak table tops with easy-care all-weather acrylic fabrics in Carbon Silver and performance all-weather foam core seating, with all audio functions operated by a wireless hand control.
“The Pamlico Sound lineup from Soundstage is a very focused introduction centered on six fresh styles with 35 pieces, all seating units featuring the signature Immersive Sound of Soundstage advanced weather-proof electronics,” Savovic said. “An assortment of Sunbrella covers brings consumer confidence. Dealers can specify weaves and finishes of wicker as optimal complements to the Sunbrella fabrics.”
Alongside the Laguna, the line comprises the Marathon, Destin, Biscayne, Siesta Key and Naples, spanning modular sectionals, swivel rockers, chaises, dining and occasional pieces.
“The combination of amenities, advanced sound technologies, fit and finish will push the Pamlico Sound line to a natural sweet spot of solid mid-priced retailers,” Savovic said. “That will include specialty patio shops and furniture retailers ranging from single-unit independents to the regional majors.”
The Lilly Awards and the Lillian B. Winchester “Best of Show” Award will be announced at the ICFA Gala on Wednesday, Sept. 16, at 6:30 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta, held during Casual Market Atlanta.
Pamlico Sound by Soundstage will show the Laguna at Casual Market Atlanta, Sept. 15–18, in Building 1, Floor 7, Showroom 7-107. A second Laguna will be featured in ICFA’s Design Excellence winners display in the Building 1, Floor 2 lobby near registration for the run of the market.
