Glen Raven and Sunbrella have released several new announcements and initiatives that they plan to set in motion this year, and Casual News Now has the scoop.
For January, here’s the latest:
Product & tech news
- Sunbrella has introduced a new Fabric Finder tool on its website, helping users find the best fabric for their needs. Since launching in July, the tool has an over 80% completion rate for visitors, with visitors searching for outdoor fabrics 63% of the time and most commonly looking for blue fabrics.
- After a successful pilot program and onboarding process, Sunbrella now offers a new B2B portal option for customers, offering a more comprehensive and user-friendly look at real-time data including order status, order entry, pricing, product specifications and reporting.
- Beginning this month, a selection of the brand’s most popular upholstery stock fabrics will be available for purchase by the yard at Sunbrella.com. The brand is looking forward to offering a new option to explore Sunbrella fabrics for DIY projects in addition to the retail and distribution channels consumers and professionals already trust.
- As of late 2022, the Glen Raven website has been updated to offer deeper insight on the company’s history, portfolio, leadership and corporate responsibility practices.
Infrastructure news
- As part of Glen Raven’s ongoing $250+ million capacity expansion investments, the company is continuing to prioritize sustainability in its new facilities and in the retrofits to existing buildings. To save on energy consumption, all lighting is LED, and all HVAC controls use variable frequency drive to regulate the output and better match the supply of conditioned air to the need. New on-demand batched technologies also allow Sunbrella to reduce the amount of raw material waste from production processes.
- Glen Raven has introduced people-first improvements to its buildings, including multipurpose wellness centers in its new and legacy Anderson, South Carolina, plants, with programming throughout the year for group exercise classes and team-building events.
People news
- Jason Burgess has joined Sunbrella as indoor market manager, overseeing sales and working closely with the design, marketing and sales teams. Jason brings 14 years of experience in the textile industry to the Sunbrella team. He has relocated to North Carolina from the Chicago area to join the team at Glen Raven HQ.
