ICFA names Lifetime Achievement honorees

HIGH POINT, N.C. — The International Casual Furnishings Association has announced the 2026 Lifetime Achievement Award honorees, Terri Lee Rogers of OW Lee and Cathy Buzbee of Absco Fireplace & Patio.

Rogers has served as president of OW Lee — the casual furnishings company founded by her grandfather, Oddist W. Lee —f or nearly two decades. Under her guidance, OW Lee has repeatedly earned the ICFA Manufacturer of the Year honor, reflecting her unwavering commitment to quality, innovation and customer service excellence. Equally important, she has successfully guided the transition of the family business to the next generation, ensuring its continued strength and relevance for years to come.

As the first female chair of the ICFA board, Rogers broke barriers and set an example for women across the industry. She continues to play an active role in the association, serving on its board and as part of the ICFA Women’s Leadership Network.

“Throughout her career, Terri has embodied the values of leadership, service and stewardship,” the ICFA said in its announcement. “Her influence extends far beyond her company’s success, touching countless colleagues, partners and industry professionals who have benefited from her wisdom and dedication. A true pillar of the industry, Terri Lee Rogers has built a legacy of excellence that will continue to inspire and shape the outdoor furnishings community for generations.”

Buzbee has been the driving force behind her family’s outdoor furnishings store for more than 32 years, helping transform the business from a single location to a thriving multi-location enterprise. During her tenure, Absco has been nominated for the ICFA Apollo Award seven times, winning the honor twice. 

Buzbee also has served for 10 years on both the ICFA and Casual Furnishings Retailers Association boards, helping shape the future of the outdoor industry.

“As a pioneering woman, Cathy distinguished herself through her confidence, integrity and willingness to lead,” the ICFA said in its announcement. “She was never afraid to share her perspective, influence positive change and serve as a role model for others. Her approachable nature and strong character have fostered lasting relationships with all types of industry colleagues.

The Lifetime Achievement Award was created in 2002 to distinguish industry executives whose ideas have advanced the growth of the casual furniture industry and whose actions and accomplishments have served as role models or inspiration for others. Acknowledged by their peers, the honorees’ achievements must have stood the test of time.

Rogers and Buzbee will be honored at the ICFA Awards Gala on Sept. 16, 6:30 p.m., at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta during fall Casual Market Atlanta.
