OW Lee mourns loss of Beverly J. Blanchard Lee

BOERNE, Texas — ICFA Lifetime Achievement Award winner and former OW Lee executive Beverly J. Blanchard Lee died on April 5 at age 82.

Lee, along with her husband Robert “Bob” Lee, played a pivotal role in the growth and success of the family business, OW Lee, from the 1970s through the 1990s. The couple were named Lifetime Achievement Award winners by the International Casual Furnishings Association in 2008.

Beverly Lee

Beverly was born in Los Angeles and raised in Arcadia, California, where she spent her early years. She enjoyed a brief but memorable stint as a “Ramette” for the Los Angeles Rams before marrying Bob in 1961. They settled in Glendora, California, and shared nearly 64 years of marriage until Bob’s death in 2024.

In addition to her family and work with OW Lee, Beverly pursued a number of passions, including writing short stories, playing card games such as poker and enjoying the simple pleasures of sweet treats.

Beverly is survived by her children, Teresa (Dirk) Rogers, Brian (Alejandra) Lee and Jeanine (Chris) Goff; her seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

“Beverly lived a life defined by love, dedication and generosity,” her granddaughter, Leisa McCollister, OW Lee vice president of marketing, said in a news release. “She brought warmth, humor and creativity into the lives of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her loving family and dear friends.”
