Eric Parsons named president of Jensen Outdoor

Jensen Outdoor has appointed Eric Parsons as its new president. Parsons has been with the company for four years as vice president and has played a key role in the leadership team.

He succeeds Hlodver Olafsson, outgoing president and current chairman of the board.

In his time at Jensen Outdoor, Parsons has helped to transform the product range into a more style-forward offering, add process and efficiency improvements across the operation, and more than double the sales output of the company. He assumed his responsibilities as of Jan. 10.

“I am honored to be appointed as president of Jensen Outdoor and humbled by the confidence that ownership has in me,” Parsons says. “In the past four years with Jensen, I have seen firsthand the dedication and hard work that goes into crafting sustainable luxury wood furniture. It’s a key element of what makes the company stand out from the field, and I am excited to continue the success of the brand and lead Jensen Outdoor into the future.”

Parsons brings more than 30 years of industry experience to his new role, having previously served as president of Gloster Furniture and holding leadership positions at Brown Jordan and Woodard Furniture. He has also been active in the industry, having served on the board of directors of the International Casual Furnishings Association for 12 years, on the executive committee for four years, and as chairman for two years.

“Eric has been an invaluable member of the Jensen Outdoor team, and we are confident in his ability to lead the company to continued success,” says Olafsson. “I am excited to see what the future holds under Eric’s leadership and wish him all the best in his new role.”
