Outer teams up with Queer Eye’s Bobby Berk

Direct-to-consumer brand Outer is introducing an extendable aluminum and teak dining collection, and it teamed up with Netflix’s Queer Eye design guru and interior designer, Bobby Berk, to help announce the expansion.

Marking the brand’s first foray into the outdoor dining space, the dining table seats up to 12 and features the brand’s patented OuterShell technology to keep the surface of the table clean when not in use.

“At Outer, we create solutions that get you outside more and take away the little inconveniences,” Outer’s C0founder and Chief Design Officer Terry Lin told Casual News Now. “When we looked at outdoor dining, we realized that dust, dirt, and pollen accumulate on flat surfaces, requiring people to clean the surface with multiple paper towels before using it. The eco-friendly OuterShell for the Aluminum + Teak Dining table helps protect dining table surfaces from the harshness of outdoor environments, so your table is always ready. We love solving seemingly simple problems with intuitive innovation by looking at problems from all angles and designing peripherally.”

The OuterShell helps protect dining table surfaces from the harshness of outdoor environments, and the teak-framed director’s chairs are also outfitted with all-weather Textilene fabric designed to repel water, resist mildew, endure sun, heat, and rain without fading.

“Outer’s range of products truly align with the idea of bringing and enjoying your life outdoors,” Berk says. “I love the simple and classic materials in the collection and the fact that the pieces are easy to incorporate into so many different outdoor spaces and styles. Plus, the products are durable and innovative. The OuterShell is such a smart solution to cover and protect the furniture from the elements, as well as an ingenious way to transport the cushions.”
