COMFORT, Texas–OW Lee, manufacturer of high-end outdoor furniture, fire pits, and accessories located in Comfort, Texas, held a grand opening reception and ribbon cutting on May 4 for its new facility. OW Lee recently relocated its business to Comfort, Texas, from Ontario, California. Comfort lies within Kendall County and is located 40 miles northwest of San Antonio. With it, OW Lee brings 200 jobs to the area in different manufacturing fields.
The grand opening event was organized by members of the Boerne/Kendall County Economic Development Corporation, an independent nonprofit that works to enhance the economic development in Kendall County, Texas. The BKCEDC was integral in assisting OW Lee with the move, helping to secure local resources and tax incentives. Members of the Kendall County business community, as well as OW Lee employees who were in attendance, heard remarks from Judge Darrel Lux and Commissioner Don Durden of Kendall County, and Terri Lee Rogers of OW Lee.
“We want to thank all the great people of Kendall County who have been so welcoming to us and our team,” said Rogers. “We are excited to be a part of the community and look forward to helping stimulate the local market.”
