HIGH POINT, N.C. — The High Point Market Authority’s Diversity Advocacy Alliance will hold two events during the upcoming spring market, including the DAA Insider Access Experience.
The Insider Access Experience is a half-day event aimed at sharpening business acumen. The event is held in two formats 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. April 27 in The Lofts at Congdon Yards at 400 English St.
A panel discussion moderated by Ben Johnston and featuring interior designers O. Stephanie Beverly, Marie Cloud and Kelly Finley will explore building interior design businesses, brand partnerships and positioning for growth.
Following that session, attendees will pivot to hands-on workshops with access to the panelists along with designers Christi Barbour and Victoria Sanchez. The workshops will cover topics such as business development, job management, fee structures, purchasing and financial systems.
“The Insider Access experience lets guests tap into decades of business experience over the course of one morning at High Point Market,” said Tammy Covington, HPMA president and CEO. “From the panel presentation by top interior designers to the breakout workshops, participants gain invaluable insights needed for taking their business to the next level.”
The Diversity Advocacy Alliance’s second event, “An Evening of Connection,” is slated for 5-7 p.m. April 27 in the Eichholtz showroom at 129 S. Hamilton St. Attendees can learn more about the organization’s mission, connect with committee members and network.
“Advocacy within our industry can take many forms, and it begins with making personal connections,” said Ben Johnston, DAA chair. “We’re excited to welcome seasoned attendees and newbies for a fun night of networking in a relaxed atmosphere.”
The Diversity Advocacy Alliance is a High Point Market Authority initiative aimed to expand representation and equitable opportunities within the home furnishings industry and its leadership.
Both events are free and open to market attendees with a valid buyer pass. The panel discussion and workshops are space-limited and require preregistration.
