BURLINGTON, N.C. — Performance fabric source Trivantage will host its second annual Makers Meet on May 8 in partnership with the Window Coverings Association of America.
Geared toward workrooms, upholsterers and designers, the one-day event will be held at Sunbrella’s manufacturing plant in Anderson, South Carolina. Attendees will take a guided tour of the 1-million-square-foot campus and see the manufacturing process from fiber production to weaving and finishing, R&D and performance testing.
The day also will include product demonstrations and expert-led presentations, including:
- Fabric Applications and Experiences: When to Choose What and Why — Tracie Bresnahan and Beverly Baribault will walk through real-world applications of Sunbrella materials, exploring when to choose specific fabrics and why they work best in different scenarios.
- New Fabric Collections: Drapery and Upholstery Applications — Amy Gillam, Sunbrella’s furnishings design director, will lead a hands-on fabric preview session exploring the differences between drapery and upholstery fabrics, their ideal applications and performance features.
- Why Sunbrella — Ceci Flores will dive into the proprietary innovations, trusted durability and versatile design options.

The Makers Meet creates an environment for workrooms and upholstery shops to do just that.”
