The International Casual Furnishings Association celebrated industry excellence in grand fashion at its annual awards gala, held on the field at Mercedes-Benz Stadium during Casual Market Atlanta.
Emceed by television star Carson Kresley, the event honored people, products and companies in the casual industry across a number of categories. Here are the winners:
Lifetime Achievement
Harold Hudson, vice president at Summer Classics, and Doug Sanicola, owner of California-casual retail outlet Outdoor Elegance, were celebrated as this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award winners.
In his acceptance speech, Hudson credited Summer Classics founder and CEO Bew White for supporting him over the years.
“Bew had the vision for me 32 years ago,” Hudson said. “Bew’s been my mentor, my employer, but more than anything, he’s been my great friend.
In his acceptance, Sanicola spoke of the tight-knit nature of the casual industry.
“The people in this industry are a family,” he said. “We all help each other, and we all love each other.”
The Lifetime Achievement Award was created in 2002 to distinguish industry executives whose ideas have advanced the growth of the casual furniture industry and whose actions and accomplishments have served as role models or inspiration for others.
