BASSETT, Va. — Bassett Furniture, parent company of Lane Venture, has opened a new retail location in the Cincinnati area in Deerfield Towne Center, an open-air lifestyle complex in Mason, Ohio.
The 15,000-square-foot store is designed to feel modern but intimate, with a custom shop that includes Bassett’s 3D room planner tool on monitors created to be used by interior designers. The custom shop also features a pillow display alongside fabric, leather, wood and rug samples.
“Following trips out to the home for measurements and consultation, customers can sit with their designer and experience Bassett’s full design capabilities based on what they’ve told us they want,” said Nick Gee, senior vice president of Bassett Retail.
The new store is located in what Bassett calls “a booming market,” within a fast-growing suburb about 30 minutes from downtown Cincinnati.
“It’s been eight years since we’ve had a store in the Cincinnati market, and the community is really welcoming us back,” Gee said. “Customers are wowed by the new store’s format. People walking through the door sense that we are here to improve their living spaces and lifestyles through design. We want to further educate consumers about the positive impact a well-designed, comfortable space can have on their day-to-day life.”
To mark its debut in the area, the Bassett store will host a lunch and learn for interior designers on June 26, noon-2 p.m. Designers can meet with Bassett’s in-store design consultants for lunch and networking, while also earning 0.5 CEUs at a furniture construction class held during the event. “We are very focused on attracting the design trade to our new store and really making this store into a design hub,” Gee said. “So much of the clientele here in the Cincinnati market utilizes a designer to do their work. Our goal is to educate those independent designers in the area about all the free resources and tools Bassett offers that they can use to help their clients bring their dreams to life.”
