Castlery launches outdoor collections, to open first U.S. store

NEW YORK CITY — Singapore-based direct-to-consumer furnishings brand Castlery has introduced its 2026 outdoor collections, which will be on display at its new flagship store in the Chelsea neighborhood. The location is the first for the company in the United States and will open in May.

The Eden outdoor collection features soft, rounded silhouettes with a contemporary, minimalist vibe. The group includes an assortment of seating and dining options in responsibly sourced solid mahogany with water-repellent olefin cushion covers.

The Isla offers a more bohemian look with handwoven rope detailing over solid teak frames. Pieces include an extendable table with a one-side sliding extension, along with dining chairs and a dining bench with detachable cushions.

Castlery also added a new dark gray colorway to its Rio collection, known for its angular, boxy silhouette. The company also added small-space solution pieces to several other existing collections, including a two-seater sofa in the Sierra line, and the Sorrento dining group with stackable chairs and space-efficient tables.

“Designed to meet the evolving needs of homeowners, the launch balances versatility, durability and comfort across two new collections and three bestselling collection expansions,” the company said in a statement.

Castlery’s new 3,000-square-foot showroom in New York boasts 17 curated room settings, as well as interior design consultations. The company said the brick-and-mortar location reflects its commitment to the U.S. market beyond e-commerce, and its location in New York fits the East-meets-West ethos of its designs.

“The space reflects a shared DNA between New York and Singapore: dense city living, design-literate consumers, and real spatial constraints that demand thoughtful solutions,” the company said.

Castlery co-founders Declan Ee and Fred Ji began exploring Manhatten as the location of its first showroom in 2018, even before the brand launched its e-commerce operation in the U.S. The company put its showroom plans on hold during and after the pandemic, but after a two-year search, they secured a 10-year lease on the space in Chelsea.

“New York isn’t a place you test — it’s a place you commit,” Ee said.“We’ve waited a long time to do this. Opening our first U.S. store here reflects how seriously we take the American customer and how seriously we take our craft. This isn’t about doing it fast. It’s about doing it right.”
