HIGH POINT, N.C. — The International Society of Furniture Designers honored outstanding designs in a number of categories with Pinnacle Awards on Oct. 27 during High Point Market.
Bernhardt Furniture’s Madura outdoor sofa earned the Pinnacle Award in the Biophilic Design in Wood category, sharing the honor with Hévéa House’s Pelican storage chair and Perriand table. In the Outdoor category, the Concourse sling from John Caldwell Design, designed by John Caldwell, picked up the Pinnacle.
“Winning a Pinnacle Award is indeed a powerful recognition that, in some cases, has been known to advance individuals’ careers and companies’ reputations,” said David Blair, executive director of ISFD. “I want to congratulate everyone who was recognized as our industry’s top design leaders. They are shaping the future of our retail floors and influencing what consumers see and buy. With their help, we will continue to meet the consumer’s demand for great design.”
