Vestre’s June outdoor bench makes debut

NEW ORLEANS — Norwegian sustainable furnishings manufacturer Vestre launched its new June outdoor bench, along with its inclusive Unity collection, at the 2025 ASLA Conference for Landscape Architects here.

Crafted with soft oval shapes, round legs and a subtle Scandinavian silhouette, the June bench was designed by Espen Voll, Tore Borgersen and Michael Olofsson. Made with slow-grown Scandinavian pine and Nordic steel — which has 20% lower emissions than the global average — June was designed with sustainability in mind.

The June bench features a modular design that allows for multiple lengths, heights and armrest configurations, available in nearly 200 colors with no minimal order.

“We wanted to create a bench in a more transitional, classic style while staying true to Vestre’s signature Scandinavian design identity,” said Kristoffer Vestre, commercial director, Vestre U.S. “Since successful public spaces are defined by accessibility, activity, comfort and sociability, we saw an opportunity to design a seating solution that actively supports these qualities.”

Earlier this year at Copenhagen’s 3 Days of Design, Vestre launched another new collection, Unity, designed by landscape architect Nikolai Soyka. Unity was developed in response to the growing need for urban spaces that foster connection, activity and inclusion. The collection of public space seating features asymmetric modules that can combine to create a range of configurations.
