Woodbrook Designs introducing frame-free upholstered outdoor collection

Woodbrook Designs will unveil a new outdoor collection of modular seating made with Urecel QuickDry foam at the upcoming High Point Market. The upholstered pieces are made without wood or metal frames, instead taking their shape from QuickDry foam.

QuickDry foam is an open-cell-structured material designed for fast drainage and air flow that prevents mold, mildew and odors. The foam is produced by Urecel through a process called hydro-blast reticulation, which gives the material a distinctive porous open-cell structure designed to outperform closed-cell, non-reticulated foams.

QuickDry foam also contains Uregard, an anti-microbial formulation that makes it ideal for outdoor settings, including resorts, hotels and other commercial applications. The pieces come in flexible, modular designs to accommodate multiple configurations, upholstered in luxury performance fabrics that resist water and UV-ray damage.

“We are redefining luxury with durability, easy maintenance and rapid draining, thereby elevating guest comfort while maintaining a pristine outdoor furniture aesthetic,” said Terry Seitz, president of Woodbrook Designs.

Woodbrook Designs’ new outdoor collection will be on display at the upcoming High Point Market, Oct. 25-29, in the company’s historic showroom at 812 Mills St. The former home of the Myrtle Desk factory, the showroom is listed on the National Historic Register.

“We kept our building original in all aspects, keeping the 1928 windows and floors — it’s nostalgic to say the least,” Seitz said.
