Moe’s gives a sneak preview of new outdoor collections

VANCOUVER, Canada — Last week, Moe’s Home Collection brought a select group of interior designers and customers to its headquarters here to preview new introductions for 2026 at its HQ Market. Among the intros, visitors saw a range of new pieces for the outdoors.

“Outdoor is smaller for us, but it is growing,” said Maura Dineen, creative director, Moe’s Home Collection.

Moe’s offers a range of outdoor pieces, including fully upholstered sofas, dining, loungers and occasional tables, many of which draw inspiration from the company’s indoor designs. The Cove sofa, for instance, would look just as at home in a living room as it does on a lanai with soft curves upholstered in water-resistant fabric.

“We’re really seeing curves continue to be prevalent,” Dineen said. “The market still wants them, and (designer) clients still want them.”

Turned leg details — which show up across Moe’s indoor line — go outdoors, as well, evidenced by the Delilah accent chair. The chair’s solid teak frame in a dark brown finish features classic turning on its legs and plush quick-dry cushions. The Delilah joins a number of new seating options for outdoor, including the Savannah accent chair, which reimagines a sling-style look with handwoven synthetic hyacinth that offers a comfortable sit without cushions.

Another new collection, the Willow, pairs a traditional X-frame design with cylindrical joinery and quick-dry foam cushions. Willow includes chair and sofa options.

Occasional tables play a big role in Moe’s assortment, and that carries over into their outdoor line, as well. But while indoor collections offer tables in marble and granite, the outdoor line achieves that same look with glass-reinforced concrete dipped in a water-transfer finish that gives the appearance of natural stone.

“They have these huge vats of water and they put a thin film of the print on top of the water,” Dineen said of the process. “Then they use a large crane to drop the table in and pull it out, leaving this finish behind.”

The outdoor occasional table collection also includes the Farren side table, which looks tiled but also is made with glass-reinforced concrete with a grid pattern and a hand-painted finish. Dineen said this technique made it possible to create a tiled look that can be produced on a larger scale.

Glass-reinforced concrete serves as a versatile medium for Moe’s outdoor occasional tables.

“We were trying to do tile for mass production, and it was tough because the labor for that is more niche,” she said. “So we had to figure out how to get the look without actually using tiles. It was one of those two-season development processes, but we got it.”

While outdoor still makes up a smaller percentage of Moe’s business, Dineen said that they’ve seen significant interest in the category, and she thinks it will continue to grow for the company in the future.

“We’re not necessarily known for outdoor, but it’s definitely a driver for us, and it’s a category we’re getting more into,” she said.

Moe’s will bring its new outdoor collection to High Point Market, Oct. 25-29, in IHFC Showroom C302.
