Jessica Salisbury, formerly of specialty retailer Village Green, has been named business development manager at Polywood.
Salisbury tells Casual News Now that after working at Village Green for 26 years, she was looking for a new challenge.
“Village Green was the only job that I ever really had,” she explains. “So when I turned 40 I was thinking about what my next chapter would be. I always knew that if I was going to move on it would be to something big, and the right company.”
After visiting Polywood’s factory on a dealer tour, Salisbury says she was impressed by not only the facility, but also the culture of the company. They treat employees like family, she says, and have a strong environmental message. Plus, Salisbury has been working with the company for years on the retail side.
Salisbury’s new role involves finding new business opportunities, and she works with mostly specialty retailers, which she can relate to having been one for 26 years.
“I’m focusing on the specialty sector and my job is to continue to build great relationships,” she says. “That’s always been one of my strengths — my relationships with people in the industry. So building on those relationships and then continuing to build the incredible Polywood brand that we have is very exciting.”
Congratulations Jessica!!
