Lighting, furniture, wall décor and accessories resource Arteriors has named John Hart as chief executive officer.
He fills a position previously held for the past 11 years by Steve Davis, who officials said “has transitioned out of the company.”
Hart was most recently chief executive officer of contemporary European Furnishings Resource Luminaire since April 2021 and before that was co-chief executive officer and executive vice president of Scott Group Studio, a custom, luxury rug manufacturer.
Before this he worked at Kohler Company for 20 years, holding positions such as chief creative officer for interiors and also serving as president of subsidiary McGuire Furniture. He also served as president, general manager, chief merchandising officer and director, sales at Kohler subsidiary Ann Sacks.
Arteriors said that under his leadership, “each of the businesses exceeded objectives for driving growth with new products and were recognized for their brand leadership.”
The company added that his success driving the growth of noted global brands across key channels of distribution catering to the design trades, along with his expertise in the lighting and furnishing sectors, makes him “a perfect fit for the role.”
In his new position, the company said, he will examine and identify opportunities in operations and logistics that span 70 factories across 13 countries and three continents.
