Sunset West, a division of Hooker Furnishings, has named Charles Emmons vice president of sales. Emmons will lead sales efforts across the United States and will support the ongoing growth of the luxury outdoor furnishings manufacturer.
A casual furnishings industry veteran with 30 years of sales, marketing, general management and executive experience, Emmons was most recently with Windward Design group, where he was executive vice president of sales and marketing. Prior to that role, he was vice president and chief marketing officer of Cast Classics.
At Sunset West, Emmons reports to Wes Stewart, president.
“We are incredibly excited for Charlie to join the team and bring his unique perspective and brand of excellence to Sunset West,” said Stewart. “Charlie is a multitalented and respected veteran of the casual industry, and we look forward to adding his leadership and experience to our team.”
Emmons began his career in the stockroom of Treasure Island, a New Jersey-based seasonal retailer with a specialty in outdoor furnishings. Over the course of the next 30 years, he gained additional experience at Dayva International and Casual Living Worldwide, and he was founder/ president of PureCasual and Trilogy Casual.
