They say the best things in life don’t come easily, which is why Casual News Now is working on a daunting but worthwhile project to bring the outdoor industry together.
As reported earlier by Casual News Now, Brad Schweig, president of Sunnyland Outdoor Living in Dallas, previously started a private Facebook group for independent casual furniture retailers.
We encourage retailers to join this group and share ideas with like-minded retailers.
And to keep the integrity and privacy of that group intact, Casual News Now is putting together a new private Facebook group for the entire industry where members can feel comfortable openly sharing ideas, talking about current issues, and helping others build, market, sell and succeed.
Every week, Casual News Now will post a question that we encourage industry members to answer. If we get participation and permission to use comments made on the survey publicly, a story that can help the entire industry might arise from these ideas.
To be clear, no comments, images, videos, etc., that are posted anywhere in the group will ever be published or shared without express permission from the author.
A few guidelines for the group — and this is also posted in the group itself:
- The group will be invite-only and specifically for the casual industry — so it will not be open to the general public. And anyone who wants to join the group will be vetted thoroughly before being added.
- Advertising of a specific brand or product is not allowed, and if these posts are made they will be promptly deleted from the group.
- This is a professional group and we will keep things professional.
This isn’t going to be a speedy process where everyone joins and starts sharing ideas immediately. It will take time to grow.
But if we can slowly build this group into something meaningful over time, it could be a great resource for casual newcomers and industry veterans alike.
