Summer Classics, Gabby launch new retail format

The first combined Gabby & Summer Classics store opened its doors in Annapolis, Maryland, on March 9. The new store combining these two brands has already played host to hundreds of designers and design-minded guests as they shop this new retail format championed by family-owned, Alabama-based furniture manufacturer Gabriella White LLC.

Annapolis is the first in a series of next-generation retail stores expanding across the U.S. over the next few years. Formerly known as Summer Classics Home, these new stores feature separate entries for Summer Classics — timeless luxury outdoor furniture — and Gabby — inspiring and eclectic indoor furniture. Additionally, clients will find treasures in homewares and accessories, as well as Wendy Jane — performance fabrics and soft furnishings.

The new store is located at 1910 Towne Centre Blvd., Suite 100, and the design and shopping experience is based on client feedback from the company’s 36-year history in wholesale, contract and retail furniture sales.

“We have 19 locations throughout the country and have learned from our extensive research that more people want to find Gabby and Summer Classics in their hometowns,” says William White, CEO  of Gabriella White LLC. “We asked, we listened, we developed and now we’re giving guests more of what they love. We felt that Annapolis — with its sophistication, heritage and a regular influx of visitors was the perfect location to test our new concept designed in partnership with  Gensler’s Atlanta Office.”

The goal of the store is to inspire guests to build their home sanctuary by offering carefully designed and thoughtfully curated displays that are refreshed regularly. The look is timeless, and the store is light, bright and open so shoppers can walk seamlessly between Gabby’s interiors and Summer Classics’ outdoor furniture — just as they would in a home.

“We believe that life’s best moments happen in and around the home, so we put our clients first by providing beautifully designed products and the upmost customer service,” says Bew White, founder and executive chairman. “We are confident that the Annapolis Town Center location will not only bring value to the area but also to the continued success of our fast-growing company.”

The Annapolis store is Gabriella White’s 19th retail location in the U.S. and third in the Northeast — others are in Richmond and Philadelphia. The 20th store will open in Scottsdale, Arizona, in May.
