Richboro, Pa.-based casual retailer Gasper Home & Garden will open a second location in Furlong, Pa. in April 2022.
Gasper’s original store sells outdoor furniture, plants, and garden supplies and Christmas in the off-season, and the new store—which is just six miles from the Richboro store—will sell indoor and outdoor furniture and accessories year-round.
“We bought so much inventory for 2022 that we needed a warehouse, so we found a warehouse for sale just happened to come with a 12,000-square-foot store attached,” says Store Manager Eli Hymer. “The store is under renovation right now and it’s on a major highway, so we are converting it to a year-round furniture store and some outdoor accessories, but not the full-fledged garden center that we have at the Richboro location.”
The company had expected to be open in March supply issues have pushed the opening to early April.
“I’m buying entirely different products for this location,” Hymer says. “For example, even though we carry 24 different vendors and we’ll the same vendors on every floor, there will be totally different offerings from each brand on each floor. What that does is double our showroom space. So this store will have about 75 sets of furniture, our Richboro store has about 50 or 60. So realistically, within six miles of each other, we’ll have about 125-130 different sets of furniture.
