Modern outdoor furniture company Oasiq is adding three new collections to its outdoor offerings.
Specializing in materiality (especially plantation and FSC-certified teak) and exquisite handcrafting techniques combined with cutting-edge modern technology, the new launches are Riad, a large, modular collection characterized by perforated aluminum frames; Copenhagen, a comprehensive and hygge-inspired collection of tables, seats and chairs; and Bryggen, a minimalist grouping of variously sized stools crafted from two durable yet eye-catching materials.
Designed by Milan-based Meneghello Paolelli Associati, Oasiq’s Riad collection is a tribute to Matheui Mategot, the renowned 1950s French product designer known for introducing the perforated metal sheet into the design world. The modular outdoor Riad collection is fittingly characterized by softly curved perforated aluminum frames available in three colors — anthracite, white and pastel green. Consisting of a club chair, a two-seater sofa and six different seating modules, the collection also includes a rectangular coffee table and a square side table available in either matching ceramic or contrasting teak tops.
Oasiq’s Copenhagen collection, designed by Milan-based Meneghello Paolelli Associati, consists of two different models of dining tables, three coffee tables, a lounge chair, a stackable dining armchair, a loveseat and two stools. The Scandinavian-inspired collection is made of two durable materials: weather-resistant teak and high-performance, solution-dyed rope.
The Bryggen collection references the iconic wooden houses of Bryggen located on Bergen’s old wharf — a UNESCO World Heritage site. The collection includes three Nordic stools in various heights: counter, dining and bar. Bryggen’s minimalist nature highlights Scandinavian design principles by utilizing only two materials — teak and stainless steel — that meld simplicity and function.
