HIGH POINT, N.C. — Z-Wovens, maker of Sunbelievable performance fabrics as well as interior upholstery, has named Alana Hernandez as creative director.
Hernandez has extensive experience in textile design, product development and creative leadership, previously holding the position of creative director at Ramtex.

At Z-Wovens, Hernandez will lead the development of a new premium collection, which is designed to complement the company’s established portfolio while introducing fresh design perspectives and expanded choices. The collection is slated to debut in June 2027.
“We are delighted to welcome Alana to Z-Wovens,” said Bea Spires, vice president of design, Z-Wovens. “Her experience, creativity and understanding of the upholstery market will be valuable as we expand our design capabilities. This new collection builds upon our existing strengths while creating exciting new opportunities for our customers.”
In more somber news, Z-Wovens sales representative for the Mississippi territory, Bill Davis, died on Oct. 31 at age 65.
Davis served for more than 40 years in the furniture and textile industry, holding positions with Richloom, Mastercraft and Burlington Industries, in addition to his time with Z-Wovens. The company said Davis was known for “not only for his exceptional professionalism, but also for building deep, meaningful relationships with clients and colleagues alike.”

“Bill was a valuable member of our team and a good friend,” said Chip Finneran, vice president of sales at Z-Wovens. “We’ll miss him. Our thoughts, prayers and deepest condolences go out to his family, friends and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.”
To ensure uninterrupted service for Davis’ clients, inquiries may be temporarily directed to Finneran.
Details regarding the memorial service were not yet available, but in lieu of flowers, the family requested that memorials be made to the Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, Mississippi.
