GRANVILLE, N.Y. — Telescope Casual has announced a new partnership with Whitney Atkinson, founder of weighted rug brand Wugs. The company will begin manufacturing and shipping Wugs products in early May.
Short for Weighted Universal Grounding Solutions, Wugs are weighted outdoor accessories designed to bring stability and style to exterior spaces. The collection includes Wugs weighted rugs, Willows weighted pillows and Woufs weighted poufs. All are engineered for outdoor use and weighted for resistance to wind.

Her product is smart, unique and solves a real problem for outdoor living spaces. Wugs was born in Atkinson’s own backyard, a solution to a problem she was tired of battling — outdoor rugs that wouldn’t stay put, edges constantly curling from the elements, and pillows that ended up in the pool or the neighbor’s yard on windy days.
Atkinson engineered her own fix that has grown into a full line of weighted outdoor products engineered to stand up to wind, weather and the elements. Her products have grown in popularity by combining durability, aesthetic appeal and thoughtful design to make outdoor spaces more comfortable, stylish and easier to maintain.

The partnership will officially debut during High Point Market, with a launch party from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, April 27. The event will celebrate the collaboration and introduce the Wugs, Willows and Woufs concept to designers, retailers and industry leaders attending the market.
