HUDSON, N.C. — Performance fabric maker Outdura, a division of Austria-based Sattler Group, has named Nico Doerflinger as CEO of Sattler Americas Inc.
Doerflinger began his tenure with Sattler more than 15 years ago as a textile chemist in production. He then moved into European sales, overseeing the company’s technical industrial textiles and camping textiles divisions. In April 2023, Doerflinger was appointed product manager for the casual furniture, awning and marine textiles segments, leading the product management team in a hybrid environment between Sattler’s headquarters in Gössendorf, Austria, and the Sattler Outdura facility in the United Sates.
As of April, Doerflinger has moved permanently to the United States to fully immerse himself in the American market, working directly with customers and the sales team to develop and drive new strategies and strengthen the collaboration between Sattler’s sales and operations divisions.
“I am deeply honored by this promotion and excited to take on this new challenge,” Doerflinger said.
Sattler AG, headquartered in Graz, Austria, is a fifth-generation, family-owned company with 150 years of history in the solution-dyed acrylic fabric market. They specialize in manufacturing and marketing fabrics for awning, marine, transportation and industrial applications throughout the world. Outdura is headquartered in Hudson, North Carolina, with manufacturing, sales and marketing, corporate services, distribution and logistics all based in Hudson.
