Designer furniture and interior design brand BoConcept is not like other retailers. What sets it apart is the unique, handcrafted product it sells, which is also made exclusively by the company in factories in Denmark and Lithuania.
The largest furniture brand in Denmark, it boasts more than 300 stores in over 65 countries — and counting. Its headquarters sits on the same location it acquired in 1962, which is emblematic of its attention to design rooted in heritage.
It’s very strategic when it comes to franchising partners, and it works with high-end designers to create collections that stand out. Now, it is expanding its outdoor assortment with the introduction of the Cancun collection.
While this isn’t the first outdoor line — it launched the category nearly 10 years ago — this line represents a more luxurious and spacious collection that meets modern standards. With a traditional design, the furniture is lightweight and built with sturdy aluminum.
“We needed furniture for a different type of consumer,” says Steen Knige, head of marketing for BoConcept “The furniture addresses problems we’ve seen with other outdoor pieces, and we’ve tried to tackle that by making it functional and desirable.”
Casual News Now got a sneak peek at the new line:

In an on-trend blue, this collection mixes upholstered material with sturdy aluminum for a sleek yet substantial look.

Comfortable seating is key to outdoor furniture, and this chat set is versatile in that it can work in a small or large space depending on what’s needed.

Small-space living is still a huge trend in the outdoor industry. These smaller pieces speak to that trend and refine it with a traditional twist.
Uniquely, the parent company requires that all BoConcept suppliers follow its code of conduct to ensure that all products are manufactured in a way that respects the rights of their employees.
With its head office in Denmark, the company applies its Danish background to every detail of the business, meaning expectations are high for suppliers with regard to quality, environment and work processes.
“Over 60 years of experience and know-how provide invaluable benefits for our production facility in Denmark as well as in our close collaboration with our global suppliers,” the company says. “We have carefully selected suppliers who share our commitment to high quality. Together, we work to develop competencies and processes, and to implement initiatives that take responsibility for people and the environment.”
The company also aims to empower its franchisees to have D.R.I.V.E.
