Wondersign releases WooCommerce catalog automation

Furniture retailers with WordPress websites now have a way to automate catalog management through Wondersign’s WooCommerce connector.

The company, which deals in catalog data syndication for the all-in-home industry, created the API-based Connector to automate master catalog and pricing. Wondersign’s Commerce Automation Platform gives retailers the ability to automate and only publish items that are in stock. And for suppliers with brand catalogs that enforce MAP pricing, the Connector protects MAP on WooCommerce. This is the third e-commerce Connector by Wondersign joining Shopify and BigCommerce.

Maintaining up-to-date catalogs, prices and inventory can be a tedious task for many retailers, consuming valuable hours each week. Despite these efforts, the risk of outdated websites and incorrect information remains a persistent challenge. Inconsistencies in pricing, in particular, can lead to customer dissatisfaction, impacting both online and in-store conversion rates.

Wondersign’s API-based Connectors streamline and automate this process. By seamlessly integrating a master catalog, pricing and real-time inventory updates across connected websites, retailers can redirect their focus toward other critical aspects of their business, minimizing the need for manual spreadsheet management.

WordPress is the world’s most popular content management system and powers about 43% of all global websites. WooCommerce is an e-commerce plugin for WordPress but unlike Shopify and BigCommerce, which are subscription-based services, WordPress and WooCommerce are free, open-source tools.

“With all three platforms being supported, retailers can now choose the platform that best fits their needs — or select a website agency that specializes in the platform of their choice to design the user interface,” says Kaspar Fopp, Wondersign’s chief revenue officer.

Local inventory integrations with POS systems like Furniture Wizard, ProfitSystems, Storis and others help consolidate inventory in one place. Together with real-time inventory data from Wondersign’s 85+ managed brands, both retailers and consumers have insight into available stock and anticipated lead times. Depending on the e-commerce platform, the Connectors can either feed inventory numbers or stock status to the connected website.
