Sunbrella prepares introductions for Casual Market

With more than 400 fabrics on-site, including a stunning fabric installation, Sunbrella will unveil several introductions at the upcoming Casual Market Atlanta.

Highlights include:

Tranquil Sage

New additions to the Sunbrella Upholstery Stock Collection that embrace soft greens, new textures and warm neutrals while inviting endless opportunities for layering. Fabrics of note include Lively Sage, a fresh and modern botanical leaf pattern with rich texture; Tranquil Sage, a classic two-color stripe woven with a linenlike texture; and Marvel Sage, which offers a similar linenlike texture while providing a casual and soft look that is highly versatile.

The brand’s latest collaboration with Richard Frinier, inspired by Richard’s interest in the practice of grounding, the restorative practice of rebalancing one’s internal energy through connecting with the earth. Each design presents a different interpretation of the energy and natural rhythms present in the ground beneath our feet. From sky blues to forest greens, each pattern is made with at least 20% recycled Sunbrella acrylic, mirroring the beauty of nature while underscoring the importance of protecting it.

The Sunbrella x David Rockwell Collection, a new line of 35 nature-inspired performance fabrics designed to balance varying yarn textures with rich colors to create abstract interpretations of earth, air and water.

The Max Humphrey x Pindler x Sunbrella Collection, an offering featuring 10 patterns inspired by vintage items and the warmth of childhood nostalgia. This collection incorporates Max’s signature modern Americana style into vintage-inspired fabrics all woven with the trusted performance of Sunbrella.

Sunbrella also recently entered the cleaning market with a collection of new fabric cleaning solutions. Sunbrella Restore, the third product in the collection, is now on shelves as the brand’s fabric protector and repellent solution.

The product adds an invisible layer of protection to most water-safe outdoor fabrics to restore water repellency that may have been lost over time or because of deep cleaning. This non-PFAS formula provides added protection against the elements and water-based spills without impacting the look or feel of outdoor fabrics.

In other news, Glen Raven, Sunbrella’s parent company, has sold its Strata geosynthetics products and related construction business to Hella Infra Market Private Limited, an India-based B2B online procurement marketplace for construction materials.

This sale represents the next step in executing Glen Raven’s long-term global investment strategy in support of its key brands. “This move enables us to focus on expanding our leadership in Glen Raven’s core markets and extending our brands into new spaces,” says Leib Oehmig, CEO of Glen Raven.

Strata was acquired by Glen Raven as part of a larger acquisition in 2007 and has expanded into a global presence in partnership with India-based Strata Geosystems India Pvt. Ltd. Today, Strata is known globally as a full-service solution provider for the construction industry.

“We are proud of the tremendous success of Strata as part of Glen Raven and the work of the outstanding team that supports the business,” says Oehmig. “Aligning the business with a construction-centric organization positions Strata and its associates for continued growth and success.”

The transaction is not expected to result in any job eliminations, and Strata’s global business operations are expected to continue without interruptions. The company is not disclosing the financial terms of the agreement.
