Study shows brand power of Sunbrella

A new consumer study conducted by Penta Group showed that the Sunbrella brand is more than four times more trusted and nearly five times more preferred than the next highest outdoor fabric brand. 

In the shade category, the Sunbrella brand is more than two times more trusted and preferred than the next leading brand.

This may not be surprising, as the brand is essentially a household name, but it’s still quite a feat for any company.

“It’s always rewarding to see the trust we’ve built over the years reaffirmed by third-party research, which is why these new findings are important to us,” says David Swers, president of Sunbrella  

He adds that over the past few years, Sunbrella has conducted more research on its own to gain deeper insights into its audiences and evolved how it connects with consumers and designers to make the brand even more relevant.

He also says the unprecedented growth in homeowners looking to create new outdoor living spaces over the past few years led more consumers to discover the benefits of Sunbrella.

“Looking ahead, we’re feeling optimistic about several aspects of our business, including our new yarn plant that has expanded our capabilities to create soft and highly textural yarns, our continued investment in innovation to give our customers new fabrics and tools, and our design team that continues to bring our premium performance textiles to life both independently and through iterative collaborations with partners and designers,” Swers adds.
