Cane-line has won the 2022 EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award in the Funen region of Denmark. As one of five finalists for the award, CEO Brian Djernes accepted the final award the week before High Point Market
The Entrepreneur Of The Year Award is presented by EY to ambitious leaders who are building and sustaining successful, dynamic businesses around the world. Winners comprise a global network of like-minded visionaries, each on a transformational journey to create, innovate, grow, learn and build a better world.
“We won on our strong core values, and our environmentally-friendly product, which we’ve been creating since 2007,” Djernes told Casual News Now.
Cane-line has been around for more than 30 years and is best known for its high-end patio furniture, which has been selling well through the temporary High Point Market showroom it moved into two years ago, according to Djernes. The company also produces indoor furniture and has experienced continuous growth.
“The numbers speak for themselves,” Brian Skovhus Jakobsen, Partner in EY and responsible for the Funen region in EY Entrepreneur Of The Year said in a release. “Cane-line has helped to put Danish design on the world map and has managed to become a leader in several markets internationally—something that is extremely nice when you know how much competition characterizes the area. And then the jury also noticed that owner Brian Djernes is an entrepreneur right down to the soul and has a passion and nose for business.”
