LAS VEGAS – International Market Centers (IMC) announced that its World Market Center Las Vegas campus will host two events – a sourcing opportunity and a designer-focused educational program – in May with Las Vegas Design Center’s (LVDC) monthly “First Friday” program, held both in person and virtually, as well the Spring Sample Sale, which runs May 19-21, 2021.
“May’s First Friday seminar will be offered both virtually and in person for the first time in more than a year,” said LVDC General Manager Cain Brodie. “We’re delighted to be able to welcome designers back to our campus for educational opportunities, as well as sourcing at the premier designer resource in Southern Nevada and the Southwest.”
The May webinar, titled “20th Century Architectural Styles and Colors,” is presented by Kelle Heming, architectural and designer representative at Dunn-Edwards Paint. The webinar explores International, Mid-Century, Ranch, and Spanish Colonial styles specific to the 20th-Century Southwest and discusses factors that led to the trends of the time period. The session also reviews architectural details common to each era with a focus on color and its influence on architectural styles. The free session runs live and online from 10-11:30 a.m. (PT) on Friday, May 7, and participants will receive 0.1 CEU credits. LVDC’s next “First Friday” session will be on Friday, June 4.
Select LVDC and Las Vegas Market showrooms will be among the 30-plus home furnishing and gift exhibitors participating in the Spring Sample Sale, which is open to the public and runs Wednesday, May 19 to Friday, May 21. World Market Center Las Vegas showrooms will be open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. daily, and Las Vegas Design Center showrooms, located on the first and second floors of building A, are open 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
“IMC’s Spring Sample Sale is a great sourcing opportunity for retailers looking for West Coast exclusives to re-stock their inventory,” said Scott Eckman, IMC’s chief revenue officer. “Although we look forward to our major bi-annual markets in Las Vegas, the slower in-between setting of our Sample Sales give vendors and retailers a more intimate platform to do business.”
