Jensen Outdoor announced today that Schon Duke has been appointed as the new president of the company, succeeding former Jensen president Hlodver Olafsson. Duke assumed responsibilities Dec. 1, 2021.
Duke is an experienced sales and marketing executive with more than thirty years of experience, primarily positioned in the high-end segment of the A&D and furniture industries, and comes to Jensen with a successful track record in both the interior and exterior furniture categories.
“I’m excited to continue the established success of the brand,” Duke says. “Working strategically with our growing team will allow us to attain new heights in the retail, design-trade, and consumer spaces.”
To ensure a smooth transition for customers and staff, Duke, Olafsson, and the Jensen team will undergo a three-month transition period and work closely to continue to deliver the furniture and service clients have come to expect.
Olafsson is also retiring from his seat on the Board of Directors after a forty-year career in the wood manufacturing industry. Olafsson’s passion for the business and his outstanding personal commitment have helped position Jensen Outdoor as a strong brand across the US and Canada.
