RICHMOND, Va. — Jensen Outdoor has appointed Karen Phillips and Justin Pfahl as sales representatives of record. Phillips will lead the Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska and Omaha metro territory, while Pfahl will represent the Central and South Florida markets.
The company said these two appointments mark a deliberate investment in regions poised for strong growth among retailers, interior designers and the broader design trade.
“Karen and Justin are exactly the kind of representatives Jensen is built around,” said Bryan Echols, president of Jensen Outdoor. “They bring deep customer relationships, proven sales records and a real understanding of what makes Jensen special. Both territories are central to our growth, and our partners in those markets will be very well served.”
A trained interior designer, Phillips has spent her entire career in the home furnishings industry, spanning visual merchandising, management and buying, including more than a decade as a multicategory buyer for a large retailer. Over the past six years, Phillips has worked as an independent manufacturer’s representative, including working alongside Jack Glynn and Mark Cannon on the team that won Jensen Outdoor’s “Outside the Ordinary” Territory Growth Award-Retail.

“Karen has been part of the Jensen story for years, and we have watched her work firsthand,” Echols said. “She brings an interior designer’s eye, a buyer’s discipline and a representative’s relationship skill. That blend is rare, and it is exactly what this territory deserves.”

Pfahl brings more than 23 years of experience in casual furnishings spanning buying, selling, product development and marketing. Along with his assistant, Pat Thomas, Pfahl manages Jensen Outdoor’s Florida territory.
Pfahl was named ICFA Sales Representative of the Year in 2013, and he went on to earn OW Lee Sales Representative of the Year in 2019 and Treasure Garden Sales Representative of the Year in 2025.
“Justin is one of the most respected representatives in our industry, and he adds real vigor to our Florida market,” Echols said. “We are fortunate to have him on the Jensen team and look forward to the partnerships he will build across the state.”
