Sales rep Greg Johnson dies at age 60

Gregory D. Johnson of the Carrollwood community near Tampa, Florida, died on Oct. 25. He was 60.

Johnson, a well-known sales representative in the casual industry, was born in Freeport, New York, to Donald Johnson and Marilyn d’Angelo on June 25, 1964. He went to school in Lynbrook, New York. He married Roberta Lynn Cioci on March 2, 2014, in Tampa. After attending SUNY Albany, he started his own business where he was a furniture manufacturer’s representative for multiple companies for 25 years.

Johnson was preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather, Robert d’Angelo; his brother, William Gilbert; and his grandparents.

He is survived by his children, Synthia DuBose, Kennith Kavanagh, Bart Kavanagh and his sister Jill Kavanagh. He was “Geeg” to Alex, Naomi, Aedan and Rian. He was also survived by several aunts and cousins.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 16 at Blount and Curry – Carrollwood Funeral Home.

The eulogy will be given by his cousin Rick Batchelder at 3 p.m., followed by Roberta’s eulogy, and then there will be a short time for remarks. Lunch will be available from 1 to 3 p.m.
