With a focus on presenting a wide variety of styles, statement-making scaling and a mix of modern materials, Sunset West, a division of Hooker Furnishings, will show four new collections as well as several new accent items for the first time at High Point Market this fall.
Drawing inspiration from high-end resorts, the chic sophistication of Malibu and the timeless charm of a classic garden party, the collections cover a range of styles including casual traditional, modern and elegant coastal. Modern materials, including aluminum, hand-woven resin wicker, solid teak and organic concrete, combine with new scaling and unique silhouettes to deliver luxury outdoor furnishings that are both stylish and durable.
Highlights of the new collections are as follows:
Cambria Collection: Designed for outdoor entertaining with class, the Cambria Collection offers the perfect backdrop for hosting a garden party. Solid teak wood in a weathered teak finish pairs with hand-woven textured resin weaves in a latte tone to create a classic design that puts the spotlight on its natural mix of materials and textures. Available in dining, lounge, occasional and deep-seating silhouettes, the Cambria Collection blends preppy, coastal elegance with durable and organic materials to create a charming and inviting outdoor space that welcomes hours of leisure.
Cabo & Playa Collections: Characterized by extra-generous comfort and scale, the Cabo and Playa Collections were designed to bring luxurious resort-style outdoor furnishings home. Crafted with hand-woven full round resin wicker, extra-wide track arm silhouettes pair with ultra-plush cushions to create deep-seated, casually elegant comfort. Designed with wide, knife-edge flange details and newly engineered foam cores, the “cloudlike” cushions deliver an uber-comfortable, relaxed blend of modern sophistication and serene luxury. The group is available in two colorways: Playa, a lighter-tone, Heathered Natural finish, and Cabo, a darker-tone Kahlua finish. Coordinating dining and occasional tables are hand sanded in solid teak wood.
Malibu Collection: Deco-inspired elegance meets contemporary sophistication in the Malibu Collection. Expertly hand welded to deliver seamless joinery, it is constructed with durable powder-coated aluminum in a sleek, matte coal finish. Seating silhouettes are characterized by curved tuxedo-arm styling and architectural split-back frames. The frame backs include a hand-welded horizontal design element that doubles as a “tie-back” for weather resistant, high-resiliency foam cushions. Melding design cues from the iconic midcentury era with sleek profiles, hand craftsmanship and modern materials, Malibu offers deep seating, dining and occasional pieces that effortlessly embody a Malibu beach design aesthetic.
Highlights of the new accent items are as follows:
- Dune Table Series: Evoking the natural pattern of wind-swept sand dunes, the Dune table series is available as a coffee table and an end table.
- Travertino Table Series: Rendered in concrete, mimicking natural stone with creamy travertine shades in contemporary pedestal silhouettes, the Travertino Table Series features smooth, rounded aprons. Perfect for indoor and outdoor use, the coffee and end tables can be nested for an interesting, layered look.
- Trellis Table Series: Available as a coffee and end table, these “found” outdoor concrete tables serve as the perfectly unique, antiqued pieces to layer into an outdoor setting.
The products will be on display at the fall High Point Market in the Sunset West area of Hooker Furnishings’ showroom, located on the third floor of Showplace.
