Shield Outdoor Covers is bringing its innovative furniture coverings, created to protect outdoor furnishings from the most challenging weather conditions, to Casual Market Atlanta, Sept. 16-19, in the Summerset Casual showroom, AmericasMart Building 1, 5-D14.
The secret to Shield Outdoor Covers’ protective power is the Shield Membrane, made with thermoplastic polyurethane, which offers high elongation and tensile strength as well as elasticity and resistance to oil, grease, solvents and chemicals, the company said in a news release. The material has a segmented structure, which allows it to expand and compress in reaction to heat and cold, protecting furniture from wind, rain and dirt, no matter the temperature, it said.
“The Shield Membrane makes Shield Outdoor Covers breathable to keep moisture from collecting on furniture, solving the problem of mold and mildew formation found in traditional PVC covers,” says Tony Rodriguez, president and CEO, Shield Outdoor Covers. “And the covers are able to withstand temperatures ranging from -35 degrees Fahrenheit to 350 degrees Fahrenheit without cracking.”
Shield Outdoor Covers are made with solution-dyed polyester fabric that resists fading since the dye permeates the entire fiber rather than just the outside of the thread. That gives Shield Outdoor Covers up to 1,500 hours of UV resistance.
